When you call or text the helpline, you will reach a trained medical professional.
You can remain completely anonymous as you won’t be asked for any identifying information. Our volunteer providers are some of the country’s leading experts in abortion care. . They will help support you by answering your questions with empathy and medical expertise.

A safe, self-managed abortion using pills is currently an option in all 50 states. Resources vary by location, so use the sites linked below to find the most up-to-date information on how people are accessing abortion pills in your state.
Right now, even in states that do not offer telehealth abortion, some people are using alternate routes to access abortion pills online, then contacting M+A Hotline (or other hotlines) to learn how to use the pills themselves for a medically safe, self-managed abortion. Some people even choose to self-manage their abortion in states where telehealth is offered.
